So it's Monday and the start of a new week, and the end of my long life-sucking stay within the walls of Lasalle Secondary School. I really shouldn't have gotten stuck here this long, maybe I'll burn a couple bridges, watch some people I never really cared about try and swim across and get carried away by the current before I leave. Or maybe not. This weekend was rad, I finished the last of my vocal tracks with Chris on Saturday and heard a bit of the mix. I'm fucking stoked. I then proceeded to Shane's grad party for the evening and had quite the time.I met up with Marty, Shane and some old friends and we did what we usually like to do, but in a field and a bit more excessively. Scattered bricks, scaled trees, lubricated faces and of course beers and bongs.
Back on topic, the mixing is just about done, expect to hear some of the final tunes this week, maybe even tomorrow. Chris Berthiaume of Konflit Dramatik also threw in some of his synth bits for a couple of our songs so sharpen your ears and try and listen for those gems, he's also doing a rad job mixing our shit as well as harboring our jams within the walls of the Incinerator. A big fucking thank you to that guy for letting us thrive and fester in his creative construction zone. We are diving skull first back into jamming and writing tomorrow and maybe we will have new things for you July 4th...who really knows? Anyways, I'm off to read Oryx and Crake in this freezer of a library before I eat lunch and go drive a forklift around for the afternoon. Stay tuned for the goods.
